Description:We are looking for a person to work one-on-one with individuals at home and in the community to help each individual achieve their personal goals and overall independence.

ILS Instructors begin part-time with the opportunity to move to full-time, benefit-earning employment. Schedule is flexible between the hours of Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm.

Duties:As an ILS Instructor you will support individuals throughout Santa Clara and/or San Mateo counties in developing skills, structure, and tools to encourage their continued growth and independence. This includes one-on-one support and training in personal, domestic, financial, and community domains; completing quarterly reports and annual planning; and coordinating meetings and communication with participants and their support networks.
Clients and Caseloads are located throughout the Peninsula.
Qualifications:Qualified applicants will have strong organization and time management skills; the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; flexibility in adapting to meeting the needs of the people we serve; the ability to work with diverse populations; the ability to work alone and as a team; and a commitment to independence and inclusion.
Must be minimum of 18 years old
High school diploma or equivalent required; BA/BS in Social Services preferred.
Prefer a minimum 2 years experience working with persons that have developmental disabilities or behaviorally disordered individuals, preferably within residential and/or independent living situations.
Substitution: Combination of High School Diploma or equivalent & 4 + years experience in lieu of BA/BS.
California Drivers License, clean driving record and proper auto insurance.

Pre Employment Requirements: Clearance with the Department of Justice by completing fingerprint background check
Post Employment Requirements:
Physical, 2-step Tb test
Current CPR/First Aid Certification or the ability to become certified in CPR and First Aid
