Description:Job Summary: The manager, marketing and communications, Betty Wright Aquatic Center, is the primary liaison for carrying forth timely and effective internal and external communication strategies & tactics among staff, participants and the referring community to the Betty Wright Swim Center, and continually tracking metrics and reporting results.

Duties:ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ensure highest ethical & business practices.
• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and agency policies.
• Ensure a healthy, safe, clean working environment.
• Ensure the health and safety of consumers, personnel and visitors at all times.
• The developer for all marketing communications for the Betty Wright Center
• Serve as the primary lead in writing, executing and reporting upon the annual marketing plan
• Oversee the production of all newsletters, plans, reports & documents that are for external distribution by the BWAC
• Implement communication campaigns preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives for the BWAC; plan and organize promotional presentations; update calendars.
• Research competitive services by identifying and evaluating services characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising.
• Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.

Requirements:
• Keep promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with Agency Marketing Director; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
• Support Director of Aquatics by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, new product information and relaying customer services requests.
• Plan meetings and shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications.
• Undertake Marketing Activity about the BWAC to appropriate target audiences.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to lift & carry 10 lbs.
• Ability to Drive
• Ability to use a keyboard

Qualifications:Education: BA in Public Relations, Marketing or other related field
Experience: 5 yrs. exp. in Marketing, preferably nonprofit.
Substitution: None
Certification: None
Other: Communicate clearly & effectively, verbally & in writing; project a professional & positive image at all times. Have a valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance.

Pre Employment Requirements: Clearance with the Department of Justice by completing a background check consisting of having fingerprints processed by appropriate law enforcement agencies.
Provide clean DMV printout.

Post Employment Requirements: Physical, 2-step Tb test clearance. Maintain all job related certification requirements.
